Sometimes she was Aurora. Confident. Clever. Cultured.Sometimes she was Rora. Afraid. Alone. Ashamed. And more and more, she was Roar -- bold, brash, and increasingly baffled by the situation in which she found herself. And sometimes she was none of them, lost and adrift somewhere in between, like the wildlands between Stormling cities. Cora Carmack
About This Quote

Roar is the story of a girl named Roar who must leave Stormling City in order to find her father. She has no idea where he is and she must travel the continent, but she also has no idea who she really is. She's not Aurora, she's not Rora, and she's not Roar. She doesn't know if she's the real Roar or one of the many reflections of her.

This novel explores what it means to be human, what it means to be a person, and how someone can live without an identity. The book ultimately explores what it means to be free.
